Piedmont conditions

A contract built for clay and four seasons.

Triad landscapes fail for different reasons than coastal ones. Our scopes plan for them from the first walkthrough.

Red clay that compacts and holds water
Piedmont clay packs down under foot traffic and drains slowly. Compacted turf benefits from core aeration, low spots where water stands need drainage correction, and new beds need amended soil so plantings root instead of sitting in a wet pocket. We note these at the walkthrough and put them in the written scope.
Transition-zone turf
The Triad sits in the turf transition zone: tall fescue thins in July and August heat, while bermuda and zoysia go dormant through winter. Fescue usually needs fall aeration and overseeding, and warm-season turf needs its own fertility timing, so the program follows the turf on your site.
Irrigation scheduled for clay soils
Clay takes water in slowly, so long run times end up in parking lots and storm drains. Shorter, repeated cycles let water soak in. Spring start-up audits check coverage, and fall winterization protects the system before hard freezes.
Four real seasons
Weekly visits through the growing season, bi-weekly to monthly visits in the dormant months, and spring and fall cleanups with leaf removal written into the contract.

FAQ

Triad program questions

  • Which areas do you cover in the Triad?

Alamance, Guilford, and Orange Counties, including Burlington, Greensboro, High Point, Mebane, and Chapel Hill. Our headquarters is in Burlington, where the company started in 2009.

  • What types of properties do you maintain?

HOA and townhome communities, multifamily communities, office parks, medical campuses, retail centers, and industrial parks and distribution centers.

  • Do you work on residential homes?

No. Wildwood Landscapes works on commercial properties only: HOAs and condo associations, multifamily communities, office parks, medical campuses, retail centers, and industrial sites.

  • Is hurricane-season storm cleanup available in the Triad?

No. Hurricane-season storm cleanup is a coastal add-on for contract clients from Wilmington to Morehead City. It is not offered on Triad properties.

  • Do you offer snow and ice service?

Not as a standard service. Snow and ice are rare where we work, but a property already under a Wildwood landscape maintenance contract can request snow and ice service as an add-on.

  • How do I get a proposal?

Send the property details through the contact form or call (336) 494-1321. We review every inquiry within one business day, schedule an on-site walkthrough, and send a written, scope-by-scope proposal. There is no obligation.

  • What are your office hours?

Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm. One number, (336) 494-1321, reaches us for both the Triad and the coast.
